Beyond being a wonderful reference it does place the film in a long lineage of art whose pleasure is epistemic, from detective fiction to the point n' click adventure. Missed the nod to Chahi; so lovely to see him still inspiring others.

It must be said that the pixel artistry is just remarkably cohesive and impressive — often startling with a cut to an unexpectedly detailed and unnerving facial expression or artifact. Fantastic colour choices as well.
