"Authoritarianism, it's a cancer. The symptoms are here, today... We thought it couldn't happen here... and now the disease is growing, metastasizing in America. But there is a cure—it requires you. On October 18, Americans will stand up, peacefully, for what makes America, America." nokings.org

These seven states allow open primary voting, meaning you do not have to register as a Republican to vote in GOP primaries.

As you can see, the average percent of general election voters who vote in GOP primaries is less than 25%.

That means 75% of active voters do not vote in GOP primaries.

19 states have open primaries, and most notably, the southern states of Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Georgia, South Carolina, and Texas.

That means without requiring you to register as a Republican, you are free to vote in their Republican primary election.

The GOP is set to win a major win gutting the Voting Rights Act. It plausibly will greatly expand their House percentage. They are also set to win a decision to remove limits on corporate donations.

There is one way to organically combat these changes: increase voter participation in GOP primaries.

Today, I convened a group of former military generals and veterans to hear perspectives on deploying troops in American cities.

Their commitment is to our nation. That’s why they’re speaking out against what the President's doing as uncalled-for, unprecedented, and un-American.
