As a person from 'the regions', I'm genuinely surprised to be reminded that JetStar still exists in NZ, having not seen hide nor hair of it 'round this way since 2019.

Thank you soooo much for opening this door for me - that butter container is going on my Christmas list.

I love it when ducklings stretch their barely-existing wings. 🥰

This bit is for wannabe F1 drivers and I'll hear no comments to the contrary.

Just last week my boss encouraged me to use AI for a writing project. I don't think he gets that I found the suggestion insulting.

Tolkien did the same thing with LOTR - so many ruins and passing comments about past cultures and battles, which gave the story a hell of a lot of depth.

It wasn't until The Silmarillion was published 20ish years later that the backstory was filled in.

Side-note: it wasn't until the clones showed up in ... episode two? ... that I realised the reference was Clone Wars, not Cologne Wars - which i also just accepted as a seven-year-old.

For what it's worth, my mother put her two younger kids (including me) through secular school after seeing what the nuns did to her older kids in Catholic school ('60s/'70s education). Funny how that issue has never been raised publicly, isn't it?

Very moody - nice shot!

You're right, there is a passing resemblance. 😄

That's such a poorly worded poll. 'Reconsider voting for them' could be taken either way: "I wasn't going to but I like that TPM's in the mix now", or "I was going to but not anymore". Makes the results useless*.

*more useless than usual for an online poll.

Or say, "I'm really looking forward to working for [company]" but you've accidentally named their competition.

🤦‍♀️

Oh man, that looks both gorgeous and fun.

It's like she's forgotten the basics of court reporting and media law.

I love Perth's transport system - so easy to use.

The ginger is barely there, though - it takes a couple of pieces of chocolate to really get that flavour (which is *such* a problem, I know).

How do you feel about the texture of hokey-pokey chocolate?
