i like using google maps to look at random uninhabited islands in the pacific and i feel the gold medal of that is finding a set of rocks so obviously unimportant that there is neither highish-resolution imagery NOR a name on them

my possibly controversional iconographic opinion is that the coats of arms of current/former british coloniess kind of cook hard. something about the classic "shield held by animals" except it's stuff you wouldn't see on european CoAs. they're too addicted to using lions

Honestly I’m just a sucker for all the really interesting canned space shuttle design proposals from the late 60s/early 70s and the Grumman lifting bodies might be my favorite out of the bunch

There was also the Grumman 532 as a kerolox fallback to the technologically riskier hydrolox 518; not as comical proportionswise but the first stage DOES have the quirk of looking suspiciously like a S-IC disguised itself as a spaceplane to sneak into the STS program
