What we are witnessing is not just selective empathy but the weaponization of empathy, and it is not confined to the political right—it is alive on the left as well.

Maybe in order to increase the excitement include the extra pressure of cooking in between getting home from work, one parent helping a kid with homework while the other is bringing the younger kid to soccer practice. I have still not figured out how to do it.

I follow this advice that I received from a Black colleague,”Do not hinder me, just let me pass.” Perhaps the best way for us to honor Juneteenth is to move out of the way.There are Black people asking you to stop and step back,listening to them is a perfect way to practice your values of justice.
