Today I gave one of my favourite but most difficult lectures of the year; ‘records of life and death’… which leads into memory and the archive.
Every time I am in the office, I walk past this. It is a remembrance of members of the University community who have died recently.

A quick trip to Aberdeen with the boy* to help with the driving and get him settled before he starts his next placement tomorrow in Foresterhill. Nearly back home in time for hospital visiting.
*boy is pushing it a little; he’s 19 in a few days!
