whenever my Maori pronunciation is complimented it really does make my heart sing. I really want to respect the native language and do my best to fit in. There are still things I struggle with, but I get a lot of leeway not being from here.

Needing to wait for emails because it's a long holiday weekend in the states but it's not where you are but it's your holiday but no one celebrates and you just want to keep working but you have to wait. it's so frustrating but yeah, eat some turkey gobble gobble

I tried being good at other stuff and couldn't do it. It was either this or violin and honestly I think I made the right choice. I was also left alone a lot.

Sometimes I can't get over just how much I was taken advantage of as a young artist in my early 20s. Really low rates, no pay at all sometimes, no royalties. I know I couldn't charge what I do now but damn, it was really dire at times.

This made me so happy to hear. If authors don't want the conversation to revolve around AI, then they shouldn't use it. If they're going to use it on the cover, what's stopping them from using it in the contents of the book? Let this be a lesson to everyone involved with AI art.
