You could use this as an opportunity for a fun weekend art project with her. Get some cool fabric and make one, and get some awesome patches and buttons and pins and stuff. Maybe even sew on some pockets to make it more of a backpack with a drawstring top.

Even a regular podcast update makes me feel "Uggh, I don't have time for this but I have to listen because I never miss an episode"... when they drop an unrelated episode it feels even more stressful because the people I silently pledged to pay attention to are now saying to pay attention to others.

I always struggled with a good gender neutral group pronoun. I alternate between "y'all" (I am originally from Texas) and "comrades". I do like using "comrade" as a catch-all pronoun when I'm unsure of or worry that I've forgotten someones personal preference.

Considering Mark Zuckerberg just dined at Mar-A-Lago and metaphorically "kissed the ring" of Trump, I don't have much expectation that FB will turn into a sane platform anytime soon.

One of the best things I bought in the last few years was a set of wireless temperature sensors I keep in my fridge and freezer, with a temperature display magnetically stuck to the front of the fridge. It's astonishing how many people don't adjust their fridge temp right! (35f fridge, 0f freezer)

It is gross... but it's because "ladyboy" is strongly associated with trans Filipinos who are sex workers... once again, some people keep conflating trans folk's mere existence as being something inherently sexual.
