Another thing I'm noticing is how Sakamoto has a whole lot more violent thoughts at the beginning of the series when seeming unused to fighting at all since quitting assassinations, compared to later, when fighting non-lethally becomes routine

Damn, rereading Shin being willing to kill himself so Sakamoto is left alone with the context that it's not only after their first meeting in 5 years but also that they'd only known each other for 2 years beforehand...
