This afternoon, in addition to Charlie Kirk, there was a school shooting. Bullets don't know and don't care if you are a Republican or Democrat. It is time for Republicans and Democrats to find a way to work together to reduce gun violence.

Excellent response from Hasan Piker, who was scheduled to debate Charlie Kirk in two weeks. On his stream he said: “The reverberation of people seeking out vengeance in the aftermath of this violent, abhorrent incident is going to be genuinely worrisome.” Also talked about his own vulnerability

In Opinion

In the 1,000 days since ChatGPT’s release, it has disrupted the university approach to learning, meant to stop students from relying on A.I. “We, of course, do not want our students to fail, but we don’t want them to fail to learn, either,” Clay Shirkey, a vice provost at NYU, writes.
Opinion | The Only Real Solution to the A.I. College Cheating Crisis
Since A.I. has made the mental effort of writing and problem solving optional, universities need new ways to require the work needed for learning.

Me getting ready to go to warped tour as a teen: did I put on sunscreen before I left? Do I have 1 sealed water bottle to last me all day?
Me getting ready to see MCR in the latter half of my 20s: have I applied multiple layers of SPF 50? Did I drink 80oz of water and a sports drink before I left?

Imposter syndrome in grad school is crazy because every time I think I’m good and I deserve to be there, I have another assignment due and I become completely incapable of putting a single thought on the page out of fear that it’s not any good

Historians are crazy bc some of us will have the absolute wildest special interests. I had a professor in college who studied Nazi propaganda and at least once every class would be like “I just thought it was interesting, I didn’t agree with it”

"...the goals of COVID normalizers intersect with the goals of anti-vaxxers; both want to manufacture broad consent to destroy collective belief in public health. And this is the point at which their tactics, explanations and justifications become nearly identical."
As someone who does vax outreach no other article has explained this topic so well. Liberals vaxx only strategy, where they encourage constant reinfection w disabling disease and refuse to communicate limitations of our current vax (ex that its not sterilizing) has led to record distrust of vaccines
Liberals joined conservatives to mainstream anti-vax beliefs about viruses and public health
Viruses are bad for kids' health. Public health is a collective effort. Liberals no longer believe either.

This stock market crash thing is so confusing. On one hand you have every economist and bank in the free world freaking out. On the other, there are some blue check accounts on Twitter with ancient statues as their profile pics doing 20 part threads on why down is the new up. 🤷🏻‍♀️
