They know it’s unworkable but that not the point of the announcement. It’s Red Meat to the racists following Reform to keep them away from the likes of Rupert Lowe and put clear water between them and the Tories! The racists it’ll attract don’t care if it’s unworkable; it what they want to hear!

That is a ridiculous and overly idealistic take to him. Britain has many things to answer for in its history; this is not one of them.

Whilst I understand the geographical comparison that action was done in very different geopolitical times and at a point in WW2 that Britain was desperately isolated and in need of protecting their transatlantic supply routes. Had Hitler established a naval base there it would have been disastrous.

Such sad news and it doesn’t look good but we can but hope it turns out well! 🤞

This bitter old wasp swallower epitomes everything that is entitled, selfish and uncaring amongst the Baby Boomer generation. I am - by just a year or so - part of that demographic and could’ve easily been watching any number of my fellow demographees that I know.

One of the best kitchen purchases ever. Not only from an economical aspect but also from a healthy cooking aspect. Wouldn’t be without it.

Phew just got back from the game. It was tight one but that was a good win. Much better second half and we deserved the win.

I think it’ll be a tight game and I’ve no doubt we’ll not make it an easy watch. Glad MGW is back but hope he’s truly match fit. They’re handy and will fancy causing an upset. Our defence must rediscover its resolve; clean sheet would be great but gut says 2-1 or 1-1! WFCG crowd must do its part

Good to have players back from injury but we must not underestimate Dipswitch. Watched them on tv last week, they will cause us issues and will be up for causing an upset. I’m sure Nuno will be on this. City Ground crowd must be at its best too and get behind the team.

Grifter joins Grifters - shock!!

"During Brexit I worked with Nigel Farage and Richard Tice, and we stood up for our farmers and our fishermen" - And both communities have suffered ever since because it was a disaster for them!! Grifter Joins Grifters!

Glad to see you here. Even though I didn’t agree with everything you said, I miss your balance and programme on @lbc.co.uk - shame on them. Your replacement was an instant reach for the Off button!

My neighbour asked me before the Brexit Ref how I’d vote. He was gobsmacked when I said remain and called my rationale lies as he was strident that leave was right. Three years ago he admitted he wished he’d listened to me as everything I said was right & that he was lied to by the Leave campaign.

Well in obesity at least he has finally found a subject that he is qualified and experienced enough on to talk about!!

James I agree with your policy of ‘compassion for the conned; contempt for the conmen’ but it’s hard to feel any sympathy for the very many who still double down and refuse to accept the consequences of their own choices. Many were more than happy to have their biases and prejudices easily stoked.

Glad you all liked it too btw. As a footnote - I didn’t see the stage show but I think I would have enjoyed that more and maybe changed my opinion of the film. I have no doubt I will have to watch it again before Pt2 mind so second time lucky but I must make sure I have no ailments!! 😂😁

I took my granddaughters (age8) to watch it. I found it ridiculously long, tedious, full of irritating characters & forgettable songs, I like musicals btw but I had a very bad head cold so that didn’t help. They however loved it & would happily watch it again which proves I’m not the target audience!
