An orange tuxedo cat lounges under a stool with his "arms" stretched forward, showing off his neat, white bib and white paws. Implied drama! Barely a minute later, a split-face tortoiseshell cat crouches a bit defensively under the same stool. Victory! Not two minutes after that, the orange tuxedo cat is back under the stool, again with his front paws stretched out, and this time, a distinct air of self satisfaction.

Her Ladyship, the Countess Ekaterina von Flüffenschmerz was crying at me so urgently and so insistently, I thought she might be in pain, needing to go back to the vet, or something similar.
After a tense couple of minutes, it turned I was sitting where she wanted to sit. 🫠
