We were at Elfde Gebod last Saturday; very pleased they were open on All-saints Day. Must put Goossens on the list for next time.

Today I took a picture of a horse’s butt. In all fairness, it was blue-green.

This holiday weekend called for one of my “Uncle Larry” wines, because he loved to read about the U.S. Presidents. 2004 Carinae Prestige (Argentina). Deep color, very little pelure d’oignon; tamarind, but not the acid (or tannin). Rich plum fruit, medium to full body; surprisingly short finish.
