If you want to split the difference and haven't played it before, you should take a look at Fantasian, Sakaguchi and his team replayed FF6 specifically for inspiration on it.

I feel like some of the people working on Metroid stuff do know what a bounty hunter is, because otherwise they wouldn't make her ending screens involve hanging out in seedy bars.

It seems weird because even ending CGs in Zero Mission, a game Nintendo made, had Samus looking more like a scifi bounty hunter. She's hanging out in seedy bars in her downtime.

The funny thing is nature has it's own yellow paint too. Lichen moss would make perfect sense to use in a lot of places for the same reason.
