Obviously excited to see Woltemade in toon colours but Eddie needs to stop picking his favorites all the time. Ramsdale, Botman, Hall, Elanga all deserve to chance IMO. Hopefully we play with some real energy today and get the three points.

Broadly quite happy with our business but I think we still have a gaping hole in this squad due to the lack of an attacking midfielder who can dribble past players and play a killer ball, especially as we struggle against a low block. Should have ideally tried for Paqueta or Xavi Simons. #NUFC

I'm happy that the rat is gone but I wish we'd only done it after we had signed two strikers as we've maintained all summer. £130m is a great fee and gives us lots of PSR headroom for the next few years.
Hope we agree a sensible fee for Wissa and don't get mugged after winning the lottery. #NUFC

Honestly, one of the worst performances under Howe. I do not understand how we play so differently and defensively when we play away. No pressing, no intensity and obviously no identity. Nobody in that team seemed like they knew what to do.

I genuinely don't celebrate goals anymore. The refs will find a way to disallow perfectly good goals and it's honestly taken the joy out of watching the game. I've always said that this need to add new rules and sanitise the game is madness. It'll just create a product devoid of any passion.

Kudos to the club for getting Woltemade over the line despite all the interest from Bayern and without any of the sell out journos having a clue. Super impressive, this is exactly how I wished the club would operate when we had all those public rejections. Now get Strand Larsen done and sell the rat

If we sign Woltemade, I will take back every single bit of criticism I have levelled against our recruitment process. However, can't shake the feeling that this will be another case of aiming too high for a player that is heavily sought after by a European powerhouse in Bayern. #NUFC

That was an immense performance. So proud of the boys, especially Bruno and Burn who were incredible. But somehow losing in that way feels worse than losing 4-0. PIF should find a way to give Eddie the signings he deserves, he has proved that he deserves every bit of support he can get.

Very happy with the Thiaw and potential Ramsey signings. We need to get Ramsey done ASAP and move onto completing El Khannouss and Wissa. Hopefully that gives us a half decent chance of having a good start to the season.

I've previously received pushback for saying the club have a serious problem with transfer targets leaking. Every single one except Ramsdale has been leaked significantly before a bid has gone in. This shows our incompetence more than actually missing out on targets IMO. Need to get a grip #NUFC

Only reason why Sesko is waiting is because he's hoping Man United find the finances somehow. That's the same reason why Man United are desperate to flog Hojlund for £30million. While waiting for this to resolve itself, we are losing out on viable and needed reinforcements like Dewsbury-Hall. #NUFC

Surely if Liverpool want Isak so badly, they can get Red Bull's Head of Global Soccer, a certain Jurgen Klopp, to accept #NUFC bid for Sesko.

Forget missing out on transfers, how can you allow so much info to leak and get publicly humiliated over and over again? It's malpractice, it's amateurish and it's quite frankly pathetic. Something has seriously gone wrong at the club. This is not just a bad transfer window, it's #NUFC in freefall.

Sesko supposedly weighing up a decision between us and Man United. To avoid hurt, please prepare yourselves for Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free and resigning Callum Wilson on deadline day. We've been complete amateurs in the transfer market so far and there is nothing that makes me feel confident.

It's been obvious to most people that we weren't going to sign Ekitike. He's used us twice before and it's happening for a third time. At a time when the club don't have enough staff to work on multiple deals at a time, it such a colossal waste of time to go after him. We need to get smart, quick.

I worry that we are about to be humiliated again with this Ekitike deal. Exact bid amounts and payment structures coming out now with the insinuation that other clubs are circling. All smells like they're using us to get him somewhere else.

I have a bad feeling about this Ekitike deal. With the news leaking well before we've agreed a deal, it feels as if we're being used again to get what the player and agents want. The optics will be terrible if we lose out on him again. Hope the club knows what they're doing.

Had plans to be in Covent Garden tonight but have ended up in bed with a bad chest infection leading to my asthma flaring. Super sad and annoyed to have missed it but really hope the boys can pull one out of the bag and bring it home tomorrow. HOWAYYY!

I've been trying to temper my expectations since we did not sign anyone in January. We surely could have signed somebody on loan but the club decided to gamble on a small squad being able to maintain fitness and focus. It was never going to happen. Praying for a miracle with final/top 5 now.

It's got to a point where you wonder if the 9 game winning streak was the abnormality and if this turgid, unimaginative, unmotivated football is our reality? Absolutely no hope in the final if we play like that. Struggling to be positive, knowing we'll be without Gordon and potentially Hall.

We could have got something out of that if we had Isak upfront and Dubravka in goal. Can't do anything about Isak but Howe really needs to stop his favouritism and go back to Dubravka. He's got his faults but he's 10 times the keeper that Pope is at this point. Pope can't dive, kick, pass or catch.
