Cantankerous old trout living in SW France. Don’t think you need to know anything else about me. Live with my husband SFC and proudly own a 1979 Austin Allegro LHD automatic.
I forgot. We owned the Spanish launch car S 433 AOX which had every option. We called it Gismo cos it was so loaded. Lives in a car museum in Germany now. Also owned a VVC MGF in volcano which was a press car N 829 SVC which we both raced in the MGCC MGF Trophy series before selling to a friend.

We lit the fire for the 1st time yesterday. Intermarché had limited supply of firefighters and no long matches so I guess everyone had the same idea……….

We’ve mainly had dullness today. SFC is hoping to move logs tomorrow ready for next delivery next week but needs to strim 1st which he can’t do until Monday.

SFC has bought me a Clinique one this year. The cosmetics ones are really great value if you total up the individual items. I think he’s hoping I’ll be beautiful after 24 days. There are 2 chances, 1 is fat, the other is no!

Been up since 05:30 this am as I had the nurse come to dress my foot and do a blood test. SFC is still asleep. I’m back to daily nurse visits which is a pain in the arse! Means you can’t plan anything as you don’t know exactly when she will arrive. Still went out for lunch at the Bistro yesterday.

Ours was 10:30 this am then the one (and only) flag moved on to Ribagnac for 11:00 and Colombier at 11:30 followed by drinks at the mairie there. We take it in turns for the 11:00 slot. Will be our turn next year.

Collecting for knives currently. Pyrex is used almost every day in this house. Don’t need a kettle. I have a hot water tap! Never bother with the towels, either. I have a whole linen room of them.

4 points off my licence and 90€ fine in the post. Apparently I jumped a red light trying to keep up with SFC going to Mercedes garage in Perigueux and I didn’t know where we were going. If I jumped the light SFC must have almost done so as I was right behind him……

Car collected successfully. Such a difference to drive. Turbo must have been gone for a while but I had learnt to drive around the problem!
