Some pals and I are watching all of the films Byron Howard directed in preperation for Zootopia 2 at the end of this month and I noticed something interesting while watching Tangled for the first time in years. Rapunzel has green eyes, as do Mitten's in Bolt, and Nick in the Zootopia.

This is absolutely mad, but delighted to announce that Gerry & Sewell, four years on from it's debut run in a 60-seater converted social club in Whitley Bay is off to The West End! London is getting painted Black & White again!
Jamie Eastlake’s production of Gerry & Sewell – which began life at a 60-seat pub theatre in North Tyneside – is to transfer to the Aldwych Theatre in the West End.

There is no such thing as ethical generated AI.
There is no such thing as AI 'art.'
AI generated media is theft.
Enthusiasm for AI is weird and stupid and yes you should feel bad if you've used it for anything.
Give up on it, move on and do something worth time and effort.

Horrific, stupid news from @uniofnottingham.bsky.social — they are closing their music department. Apparently they all found out suddently in a meeting yesterday.

It is one of the best music departments in the country — solidarity with my colleagues and their students

Great night playing at The Theatre Royal's Green Room for the launch of their new restaurant menu. The food looked incredible so get yourselves down there!

Fantastic night at Bonner's Newcastle last week for their event with the insanely good Joe Webb, absolutely outrageously talented player in a showroom that continues to impress every time I go there! I believe Joe and I may have the same hairdresser too! 🤣

In between a hundred and one different gigs, I got to watch the great Jean-Efflam Bavouzet perform Ravel yesterday at The Sage. I have been lucky enough to meet Maestro Bavouzet on multiple occasions, and was even pretty for many of his Chandos recordings. A simply transcendent pianist.

As it turns out seven gigs in three days is too many gigs 😂

Most venue closures don’t happen because no one turns up. They happen because someone bought the building next door, submitted a planning application, and didn’t want to hear people milling around after 10pm.

James Mulligan has issued a copyright strike against my YouTube channel for reporting his usage of genAI to create comic covers and Disney Lorcana cards.

This is a blatant misuse of YouTube's copyright system and a shallow attempt at burying his genAI usage.

I'm not sure what to do next...
