It's a real subjective thing for sure. I mean ngl, I've referred to them as Linkin Park Lite a few times now. I don't even think it's because of Emily though. The songwriting is kind of uninspired.

Slipknot was still Slipknot after Joey. Metallica was still Metallica after Cliff. Even Van Halen continued without David Lee Roth.

It's definitely more significant when your front man leaves or, in this tragic case, passes away, but that doesn't outright end the vision.

I slightly disagree. I do think an era within LP's history ended with Chester. The dude is simply irreplaceable. But I find it kind of unfair to end a whole band's run because of the loss of a member. There are other musicians in the group that made that band what it is.
