ya im moving towards being self employed bc i deadass cant get an entry level hospitality job even though I have 4 yrs experience, loads of training, and a management role to boot :/ in the spirit of DIY i gotta make my own job from scratch

mushroom leather (stronger than flesh leather!) new biodegradable plastics, apparently we can grow a third set of teeth? and curing/reversing hearing damage. oh and new advancements in vet care that extends the life of cats :)

yeah it’s impossible to be actually left within the dem party. you wont push them left you’ll get dragged right. I’d love to see some rent controls in new york and the like but I’m not holding my breath tbh.

i was thinking the exact same thing about tankies vs. antivaxxers. its this like, kick they get out of knowing this "alternate truth" and that it makes them special to have figured it out. Theres always some truth to what theyre going for but they get off at the wrong exit completely.

and very US coded. The culture and political climate of the US just breeds these types like crazy. They dont unlearn the authoritarian brainwashing and just have a patriarchal, uncle sam shaped hole in their heart to fill. I probably would have ended up a tankie if I hadnt left.
