I think this makes sense lol. I stand very little chance of beating a 2000 rated player in a game in any time format. I never deserved the 2500+ puzzle rating they gave me.

Never resign in online games though. In this position pictured, black resigned. I went from a losing position to a drawn one, and then the opponent resigned randomly. So now it's just a complete win. Note: it's impossible to force a checkmate with king and bishop.

The name reminds me of World Chess Live, which was a merger between US Chess Live and World Chess Network, and eventually bought out by ICC.
I feel like the FIDE online arena rated tournaments are *the* reason to join, but it is a premium feature.

I would recommend designing new icons and visual presentation so chesscom doesn't send a cease and desist.
Also, the ◄ and ► buttons move around depending on how many lines of text are above them. I would like those to stay in the same position on screen.

Also, watch out for this!
If Black brings the bishop out, they could threaten mate on the f2 square! Make sure to defend it before kicking the queen with NF3.
If after your Queen defends, they decide to trade away the Bishop and the Queen, that trade is just fine for you!

I donated in January 2024 at a local drive, and have been regularly coming back to donor centers since then. I wish I realized sooner how easy it is to donate

Sometimes, @chess.com is really stingy with !! . For this move though, I don't think it is deserved at all?
Capturing a pawn with discovered attack on the Queen seems like a basic tactic to me, and not a hard one to find. Other moves that I was more proud of get ! Or ✅

The fried liver attack is a variation of the Italian game in chess, where the knight on g5 and bishop on c4 both attack the f7 square.
If black advances the d pawn, white captures, and black takes with the knight, white can make a cool knight sacrifice that brings black's king into middle of board.
