For days on end low flying helicopters hover over my neighborhood looking for agricultural workers, gardeners, people coming and going to work, any non criminal easy to take Mexican legal or not. It has come to a head tonight. Protesters are holding their ground but it’s dicey. I’m worried

Baby Red tailed Hawk learning to fly made it to my rooftop and then stayed there for about an hour trying to figure out what to do next. Eventually it made it to a tree top near by. From there, out into the wild blue yonder 🦅. A reminder that it’s still a beautiful world if you pay attention.

This is was our house in my hometown of Cave City Arkansas. It was hit by a devastating tornado Friday night. It’s not there anymore. Most of the town isn’t there anymore either.

We live on the edge of a park with hundreds of eucalyptus trees. Took a long walk today and saw no signs of damage from the 60+ mph winds we’ve had for the last few weeks. That means they’re healthy. Good to know.
