Happy birthday to this beautiful boy. 7 today. I would take a brand new photo but he’s asleep in a dimly lit bedroom so don’t want to disturb him. And I’ve been out most of today. So here’s one from this summer.

Typical puppy. She’s been on over drive for the last three hours and now, boom all of a sudden she’s “collapsed” in the corner by the front door and gone to sleep. Thank goodness.
She needs a brush but was way too mouthy for that all evening.

She’s still quite sleepy. In a way that’s good because she’s not meant to jump around and run around. And we need rest as B and I aren’t that well either. Vets said some lethargy would be expected for the first 24hrs. So hopefully she will feel better soon.

Stella is home and tired. I’m also feeling emotionally drained and tearful. B has ordered take away for delivery.
Felix on the other hand made a complaint about the fact that all he got was his lousy biscuits for dinner and Stella some appetising smelling gastrointestinal wet food.

Felix is enjoying the puppy free environment today. He’s super relaxed and purring as no puppy is trying to get involved in the cuddles.

Slow progress on the back of the new jumper, as knitting is hurting the spot near my left shoulder blade that was so sore I went to the massage therapist for it. So I am taking a break every couple of rows. But progress is progress.

Delicious roast. The roasties especially were fab. Had to manage Stella’s barking quite a bit but she was doing better towards the end. Sadly, the ice cream in my sundae was crystallised so I I had to return that. But would still come back here for dog friendliness and good Sunday roasts.

Stella is pleased with her morning’s work. Why bother with dog toys when ripping apart packing paper is such great enrichment,
Don’t worry she didn’t eat any. She just enjoyed ripping it into pieces.

New knitting project cast on and ribbing completed for the back of the jumper. I’ll be using moss stitch for the first time which in itself isn’t that hard but needs more concentration. I hope I’ll be able to focus enough for that.

Puppy was awake for 2hrs in the night because she was sleeping all day yesterday (it was gloomy & pouring it down). We just took her for 25 min walk in the woods. hopefully that will help get her back into her normal rhythm.
