Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like if a US exchange student in a foreign country (say, Turkey?) was imprisoned for six weeks because they wrote an op-ed in the student newspaper it would be a huge domestic story and an international incident.

this is my alma mater. we are in a very, very dark place. the university + every local, state, and federal elected official in Massachusetts need to ensure Rumeysa is found and freed

Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.
They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

this week while i was chopping garlic a piece flew into my eye and after 20 minutes of struggle my roommate had to physically remove it from my eyeball. i'm never cooking dinner again.
