So, uh remember when the Russian military was notably underequipped because the guys in charge of it were stripping for parts and selling them?

A local shop has MREs that are marked "not for commercial sale."

NECON was brilliant, as usual. Lots of time with friends, although never enough. Watching friends do amazing work and get rewarded for it. My heart is full, my creativity is topped up.

It was the best of weekends.

I like letting authors know when I enjoyed their books.

@writervh.bsky.social 's DEATHWORLDER is a cracking tale. Excellent characters, well realized, and a great view of a tyranid invasion. Tense throughout, with good action scenes and a real creeping horror. Great read.

Just re-watched Benedikt Erlingsson's award-winning Woman at War (2018) and it feels more relevant than ever.

It's available on a broad variety of streaming platforms, and is quite worth your time.

I love LILO AND STITCH, but I definitely won't be seeing the remake. CG is great and all, but the watercolor backgrounds of the original are so beautiful and full of light. The art required you to invest something in the film.
