The supply chain is a spider web. Even if the good or service you're buying is made in the USA, something upstream of that isn't. The prices of American goods will be affected transitively by tariffs.

Historically, parties that aggregate power gain a shaky relationship with ethics to hold onto that power. That includes government, businesses, and even unions.

When you have an algorithm that is yielding bad results, changing that algorithm pretty much requires programming. But in Elon's case, it should also not include throwing gas on the fire.

I've seen the Gallup poll that signals strong support for the government ensuring Americans have healthcare coverage, but strongly split on whether that means a government-run plan or privately-run plan.

Citizens United isn't what's keeping the U.S. from national multipayer. It's the deep and growing tribalism where the parties fight over whether to govern "red" or "blue" ignoring that the country is various shades of purple locally to nationally.

OK, that seems weird, but it doesn't seem like it's in the same vein as the "raw milk" kick. Raw fermented pork can be founded in various forms in SE Asian cuisine: naem, nem chua, and som moo.
