The risks of #hysteroscopy extend far beyond the #gynae chair. The emotional #trauma accompanies us home. It disturbs our sleep, interrupts activities, sabotages relationships, and prevents us from accessing future medical care. In whose world is this justifiable?

The Campaign Against Painful Hysteroscopy has now amassed over 7,500 accounts of painful procedures from #women who have suffered severe pain, fainting, vomiting, screaming, no information, no informed consent! It has to change!

It was barbaric, the irony in the Dr telling me ‘We are not Barbarians’ when I was in tears and barely able to speak or walk afterwards… yes, you don’t routinely give women analgesia for this, you ARE barbarians.
