The funny thing about this is the NYT saying it's thousands. There were at least 500 people at just the Charlottesville protest. Probably more at its peak.
Y'all, this article fills me with hope. Protesting feels awkward at first, hell I had no idea I was going to radicalize so quickly over the past month. But we are rising up, we are waving the flag, we are patriots and we are fighting for our democracy and the promise of what America could be.
Good to see the protests across the US and even better to see major media outlets covering them

Any four Republican Senators could stop this at any time simply by threatening to block all action (or even caucus with the Democrats) if Trump doesn't make certain concessions. They won't, but that should be a much bigger story than whether the Democrats are doing everything that *they* can.
