If you liked an anime character in the 90's, you'd often dedicate a site to them. We called these "shrines". On rare occasions, a character was so great, a memorial was erected instead. A digital tombstone to honor their memory. I still think about Wizardmon even today.

I've fallen out of following the Nichiasa shows over the years, but I'm very intrigued in what direction Toei might be going with Project R.E.D. Guess those years of modernized takes on Metal Hero and all the experimental Sentai seasons are finally going to pay off.

I had a popular account with a valuable audience and my Twitter payout was $80 a month-ish, to the point where I disabled monetization instead of uploading my ID. Payouts are only material if you live in a developing country, so “guy in Nigeria posting right-wing Amerislop” has taken over the site.
Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.
My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.
