As I am concluding training at new job, my brain is finally coming to calm. I’ve already picked up shifts from my per diem, and have starting rebuilding the time I need to take care of myself again. Feels good. I haven’t been able to actually start this year’s resolutions yet, though, lol.

I’m noticing a trend that if I vibe with a coworker IRL and think they’re super cool, they are actually fucking psycho and treat everyone behind my back like shit. Wtf? I’m not a snitch or a know-it-all. Why do I keep running into them and feeling compelled to believe in their bs every damn time?

One of the things I find hardest to explain to people I work with is why I’m leaving to a better job. I tell them I hate it here, and they get confused and can’t understand why. I’ve been treated like shit for ages, guys; how do you NOT notice?

After 14 grueling years, I will be divorcing my abusive job that has done nothing except make me into a colder, meaner, more depressed version of me! I will then take a much needed three week vacation to reset my mind before starting a brand new work-marriage 🤍🤍.

The most innocuous things can provoke some of the most inconceivable responses. I don’t feel pity for people who can’t just take a breath and calm down, but I do feel like they make their own lives very difficult for reasons they could skip on and simply choose another adventure…

The difference between giving my money to Amazon vs Rakuten is: Amazon openly admits to not giving a fuck. Yes, Kobo may turn into another Kindle and lock us into their own book ecosystem, but at least they aren’t a racist billionaire hell bent on destroying America from inside out for more cash.
