I recently reread a "short story" of mine that I wrote forever ago (which is actually just Chapter 1 of a much longer story I never wrote) and I'm really annoyed because it's actually pretty interesting... yet I can't where the hell I was going with it.

Okay after I finished "The Eyes Are The Best Part" I started reading "Leech" by Hiron Ennes. Finished it last night.

Don't think I've ever read anything like it, and it was fantastic. Creepy and intriguing and the world it's set in so fascinating.

Next for pre-Halloween reading, I'm starting "The Eyes Are The Best Part" by Monika Kim.

Gonna take a bit longer to finish this one, since I'm reading the physical book (as opposed to the audiobook).

A few years ago, we noticed Sully the cat was limping and took him to the vet. Vet gave us some meds for him and instructed us to have him elevate his leg. Like... how ??

Fortunately, Sully seemed to understand and started elevating his leg as directed. He never stopped, either.
