I appreciate you fellow human!

Though I must admit, I don’t check on BlueSky nearly enough. Perhaps I need to put the icon on my home screen to remind myself it exists

Very cool!

The 100Mb link speed (Full Ethernet) is a bit limiting, couldn’t use it on my main ISP uplink (1Gbps) but could maybe use it on my piHole DNS server.

I assume as a passive switch it would still pass packets (and not drop the link) if it lost power?

There is no way I’d pay more to have a less safe driver speed and blast past stop signs.

It’s so freeing. A colleague (Adrian Kuhn) used to call Slack shift-ESC his “morning yoga”

Those little details push Soren’s work beyond design mockup to believable screenshot

Probably. The number of people driving without insurance will also go up

Right now 14% of drivers across the US are uninsured (21% in TN, 25% in DC)

Swiss RE (160 year old Swiss Reinsurance firm) & Waymo paper: waymo.com/research/do-...

Once Level 5 is available to consumers legacy auto insurance policies will offer “lock in your current rate for 3 years if you install a driving tracker” program, after which yearly rate doubling will begin

I expect that by the time my kids are of age to drive (10+ years) the costs of operating a “vintage” car (SAE Level 0-3) will be prohibitive for all but the very wealthiest.

Once Level 5 is available in consumer cars the resale price of Level 0-3 cars will plummet
