In August a group of organizations in Yorkton dealing with food security received a donation of 15 tons of potatoes from Second Harvest. All gone in two weeks. This is about that, and the recently formed food security committee who took on the challenge.

The architect designed the new facility based on his experience with LSD to get into the mindset of patients. That, along with the provincial government's move to decentralize psychiatric patient care so they are closer to home, made the new facility in Yorkton SK cutting edge in North America.

In Iceland, grass needs soil consisting of volcanic ash to grow - not that common. This chain fence protects the grass from people. There are no fences along the rivers and waterfalls and viewpoints, though. If you're dumb enough to fall in, that's on you. But don't walk on the grass! Gotta like it.

Deer Park Golf Course, 8:30 am on the pond between #2 and #16. Haven't in 50 years seen a pelican there, but there it was.
Dixon Lanier Merritt's poem, often attributed to Ogden Nash, begins: "A wonderful bird is the pelican, his beak can hold more than his belican."

“Too many Christians are transforming Christianity into a vertical faith, one that focuses on your personal relationship with God at the expense of the horizontal relationship you have with your neighbors,” writes our columnist David French.

@cbcnews-rss.bsky.social, quit talking about "western" secession, for f*cks sake! It's Alberta. There's much more to the West than the rednecks pushing it there. It's not on in MB, SK, BC, YK or NWT. If AB wants to be a third world country or 51st state, good luck.
