Toronto's intersections could be so much better.

If you've driven, walked, cycled or taken transit in Toronto, you've probably been frustrated by them. Whether that's a green light that's too short for all the demand to clear, or advancing on a green only to be hit by a red at the next block.

Build Canada is entering a new phase:

We started out this year as a small group of volunteers who wanted to make Canada the most prosperous country in the world – the best place to build a company, a career, a life.

congrats to PM @MarkJCarney and to all who ran, volunteered, engaged, participated, and voted. Democracy is a wonderful gift.

that “spokesperson” is me

for the record, i think i’ve heard of “the network state” like twice before Jen mentioned it to me. It’s not related to @build_canada in any way.

Sheesh. 🤦🏻 I want a thriving democracy, POGG, and growing prosperity for everyone - not a “network state” whatever that is…
The effort to influence government policy and raise awareness of public spending is not trying to emulate billionaire Elon Musk’s controversial DOGE initiative in the U.S., a spokesperson for Build Canada and Canada Spends.
Build Canada Is Not DOGE, Says Spokesperson | The Tyee
An effort by Canadian entrepreneurs to cut public spending is distancing itself from Elon Musk’s federal employee slashing agency.

The most shocking thing so far about @build_canada are the multiple senior civil servants (current & retired) who have reached out to say things like:
February 28, 2025 at 5:17 PM
“…the federal public service is overstaffed, [it is] providing a lower level of service…and…Canadians are losing trust…”

you can tell people a flood is coming, but they don’t start filling sandbags until the storm is in sight.

who here wants 🇨🇦 to be much more prosperous, productive, and globally competitive?
