Just started various excellent academic/history/travel series.
Nice to remember that there are educated, compassionate, values-based people focused on living the good life all around the world, even if the US is currently at its lowest point.
(So #VOTE tomorrow in the off-year local elections!!)

I asked a Princess of Saudi Arabia once at a UN workshop what she could personally do to improve women’s rights in her country and family.
She joked, “Well, nothing. At least we have personal drivers” and almost got booed out of the room.
