Queer autistic writer permanently befuddled by this fucked up world. Don’t miss the chance to watch serial monotropism in action. #actuallyautistic #newfoundland
I love nurses! They’re the best
🌈 June is Pride Month

This month, we proudly stand in solidarity with 2SLGBTQIA+ nurses, patients, and community members. At RNUNL, we honour diversity, champion inclusion, and continue advocating for safe, affirming healthcare for all.

Pride is protest. Pride is progress. Pride is power.

Good that PP lost his seat but not good the delusional one remains down south. Glad the libs won’t be forced to work with the authoritarian wannabe to get shit done but horrified we might still have to fight to retain our sovereignty. Overall a muted & relieved hooray for Canadian election results.

The emotional roller coaster continues. Happy that fascism didn’t get a foothold in Canadian government but deeply disappointed by how many people voted for a party that gave every sign of being fascism-lite.

Unbelievable
People just jumping at the chance to be awful.
“The three individuals who ran that DEI office in the medical faculty — all of whom are members of racialized minorities — are being replaced by a single person who does not come from such a minority background”

Why are Canadian institutions bending a knee and complying in advance?

PLEASE don’t buy into Amazon’s booksale this week.

They are intentionally trying to eat into profits from Indie Bookstore Day this weekend, a really important annual event for our important community institutions.

Check out your local fave or bookshop.org.
Bookshop: Buy books online. Support local bookstores.
An online bookstore that financially supports local independent bookstores and gives back to the book community.

Allowing an autism registry to be created by a nutbar who claims autistic people have no intrinsic value would be like allowing a vicious lying pathetic mental pipsqueak piece of human refuse to hold a position of power in one of the most powerful countries in the world. Oh wait…

While the underlying infrastructure for Canadian bank credit cards is in the US that is not the case for debit cards. Interac is Canadian owned. As a result, now trying to use my debit card or e-transfer wherever possible.

After learning turbotax made substantial donation to the lying fascist, tried to use one of the recommended Canadian tax programs but the ones I tried were too glitchy on a Mac. Will try to find one that works in time for next tax season

In the process of de-Americanizing what I buy, what I subscribe to, and where my data goes. Now using Sync (based in Canada) for data storage. Proton (based in Switzerland) for email, password management, calendar, vpn and additional data storage. Vivaldi (based in Iceland) for browser.
