I just posted the reason, there's a section in "Special Settings" to change the order and visibility of DLCs

To make it visible I had to go to the "Special Settings" -> "Downloadable Content" section and check "Highlight" on the DLC.

Now if anyone knows why I don't see the DLC listed on the store page for the main product, would be nice to know!

Is it because it's a free DLC, or did I forget to enable something?

And I guess I need to add a subfolder to clearly indicate that these "English" and "Francais" are part of the DLC

Not sure why, it seems to have been publish but indeed it's not show.

Is it better to have the DLC have its own entry or to have the depot through the base product?

Hmm, not quite sure what I did wrong: When I click "Download" it actually starts the launcher for the game and if I browse the steam folder I don't actually see my DLC in it.

Also the main game store page does not show the DLC (but I can see it if I go to the section myself)

Yeah I found that like 5 minutes ago :)

The whole SteamWorks thing would be so much more usable if there were some command palette menu to find stuff, because it's really all over the place :D

Parfois je fais un truc mixte, style je trace les lignes de perspective en gris clair sur l'ordi pour les trucs un peu compliqués ou les dimensions et les positions sont importantes, j'imprime, je trace sur le papier, et je scanne le résultat... (mais bon je ne suis pas un artiste pro)

Très sympa le style.

Dessin sur papier suivit d'un scan je trouve que c'est plus intuitif que de passer par une tablette, j'ai testé mais je ne trouve pas ca agréable !

La version est à jour sur le site (penser à forcer le rafraichissement si votre navigateur cache les fichiers), avec les caractères accentués remplacés, toutes les captures d'écran sont en francais, et des petites corrections de divers personnes d'un peu partout.

Just to finish on the idea, even if I used the entire HIRES mode, that would only be for the 240x200 area of the screen, and then I would have the last 24 lines using the standard 6x8 characters over 3 lines of text, which would require implementing a virtual canvas like in the Kong mini-game

The top half of Encounter is in Hires, but the bottom half is in text mode for performance and memory usage reasons.

The Pravetz photo on the wikipedia article is actually my own :D

From what I see, you still need to have a larger resolution to be able to represent these "37 characters and 5 tone marks".

I know Russian is doable because it requires less details, and Greek may be doable as well for the same reasons.

The nice thing is that with the type of movement of bullets and ships, they stay mostly sorted from frame to frame, so yeah bubble-sort would just work, swapping the occasional items crossing lines.
