Here's what the data looks like. Homebuying by foreigners surged in Trump's first term, esp. 2017. It was at it's lowest levels when Biden was in office. In 2025 it is rising again.

"Foreign buyers bought up 78,100 existing homes in the U.S. market" between April 2024 & March 2025. 20% of those homes were in Florida. 15% of buyers were Chinese. Half of buyers paid all cash. It's wealthier foreign individuals buying homes, not the undocumented.
