Hey! Sorry about taking so long. I'm looking forward to the day I leave the other place (bc I hate it. HATE it—I'm ok. Triple stressed about Labour & their war against disabled people. It's hard to ignore the barrage of media & government directed propaganda. But I'm ok. I must catch up w you! 😀

I literally sent them the last information they needed to make a decision (for the 3rd time) last week. And I don't want them to get away with devaluing my award bc they ran the clock down. And now they won't extend the delay & I blew up (after the all day hate yesterday). I don't know what to do.

I am happy to link any television producer with multiple whistleblowers who will say how horrific the pressure is with obviously suicidal patient. Questioning the legitimacy of suicidality, as this ‘article’ implicitly does, is incredibly dangerous x

And what's gross, is this is the same messaging as the illiberal right wing economic nationalist populists like Trump and Orban.

It's not the shame, it's the cumulative trauma, deliberate harm & non-functioning & persistent intrusive thoughts this crap triggers.. What the hell are they trying to fix here? There's no public support infrastructure anymore nor money to access it privately. The system both created & broke this.

Danke danke (seems appropriate)

I will see what the app drags in. I get the desire to stay, I just don't have the stomach for what's to come. The "your body, my ..." bile is, I fear, just the beginning.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I have tried migration sporadically and it's so slow and labour intensive, it's completely demoralising. And of course some chose to park in Threads, others Mastodon.

I can't wait to be free of Twitter—especially with what's about to come.

A few years ago I planned a Eurostar trip to Paris (but never went), and Google-Mapped a walk to house - I've the screenshots somewhere. I half-decided I'd need to take a small set of steps with me to get decent pictures of the house. It looked pretty walled off, with an ugly gate out front.

Ha, same. I was inundated with wtfs at that point. I was expecting something: the odd word is dropped in odd context both book (early on in Penance), but that last sprint to all-out cray-cray in BP: Terrifying.

I thought Penance was pure horror ... and then I read Boy Parts (holy moly). One of the great discoveries of 2023.

This is a really interesting parameter to think about. It's been a long time since anything "WOWed" me, very few in their entirety and some, doubtlessly, owing to how bad they were. I think it's more a value I'd place on how interesting a text was, rather than how good it was (or bad).

None of it feels real to me. Alarms shld be ringing while safeguards are erected. Unfortunately the courage to kill the idea while it still only exists in headlines doesn't exist.

It's a special kind of madness not to be concerned by reports of what that man has planned: stuff we've all read about.

Ha, I'll give you an eg of something I did in class: "Poe thinks his poem is about x, you've got an hour to prove to him he's wrong."

I focused on learning to learn, skills, and learning to think by bringing the process to the front of every task.

And btw, of course ravens aren't birds. \scoffs
