I teach my students to be guided by the speed limit sign - here, speed limit = 65 mph which means that speed = miles / hours = distance / time. Want, for example, time? Just rearrange: S = D / T so ST = D and T = D / S. Check by plugging in units - T = miles / (miles/hour) = 1/(1/hour) = hours .
