I prefer to assume he's just a boring dickhead, and not some sort of semi-tragic victim of consequences for his youthful misdeeds. That said, there's one way to find out for sure!

I'd say the oppressive soundscape added to the speech was far more of an editorial thumb on the scale, but they should have made it at least somewhat clear that they were separate statements instead of merging them.

I was wondering about that. I had a bunch of info on bomb- and poison-making as a teen, but it was all kept in the realm of the potential because I also had a large serving of "if I fuck it up it'll be very bad" anxiety. I was like "PVC? Really?"
