Got my potatoes and onions in the ground.
If you have the means/ability/space to grow some of your own food, do it.

The world is on fire. And things are hard.

Don't be the person who pisses in someone's cornflakes and then tells them it's raining.

Don't swipe at someone for existing or finding joy or being silly.

We need levity and care and snuggles and sweetness.

We need music and poetry and pet photos.

Electric is out to allow for the removal of a fallen tree. Nice reminder to slow down and relax.

I think a lot about how communication worked in the far past. Letters sent to friends. Pamphlets printed at independent printers and distributed independently.

Past me thought it would be a good idea to challenge myself to write 28 short stories next month. I'm currently making a list of story ideas so future me will be all set.

My word of the year is 'change'. I want so many things to change this year and it has to start personally.

Art class should never stop being a thing. Like if right after lunch we all got to go down to the basement for an hour, throw on a smock, and make collages out of old magazines while somebody's eccentric, slightly witchy aunt tells us how great we're doing, I feel like we'd all be in a better place.

This past week, I've been sharing writing prompts on my other social media. I figured I would share them here, too.
1) Main character finds a large advent calendar at their door with no note.
2) A broken ornament triggers a rush of holiday memories for a side character.

Mondays are insane, but I'm making bread for meatball subs for dinner. That makes it a little better.

I managed 778 words today. It's not much, but I barely wrote anything yesterday.

It is progress. 😁

I ate way too much today. But my middle child had a wonderful 19th birthday.

Which is the only thing we celebrated today.
