We should be investing in rural communities and making them better places to build a life & raise a family - not shutting down rural hospitals by choking off their funding.

🥗 seems bad for the rest of us
It's the shift from a regular capitalism to financial capitalism. Now, ultra-wealthy people can make more money by moving money around (crypto, stocks, trade deals, etc.) than by making things that people buy. So, their primary concern is keeping financial markets deregulated and keeping taxes low.
I've been thinking a lot about how the past three years has seen the emergence of a weird, reactionary and moralistic conservatism among the CEO class that is like - not concerned at all with Making Money
