The Heritage operation is notable, but I think this lets too many people off the hook. People were suggesting critics of Israel supported terrorism well before October 7th. It was a bipartisan effort and a normal part of American politics.
Would you be shocked to learn that the “Everyone who opposes bombing Palestinian children is a Hamas supporter” strategy came from the Heritage Foundation?
