DJT already has an exit strategy. Last year, he was looking at prison time and was bankrupt; now he has been gifted with immunity, billions of dollars, and who knows what his real estate deals, crypto-scams and other grifts have earned him. It's safe to say he has a few billion dollars, liquid.

I wonder what some people think the consequences of 42 million Americans unable to buy groceries are going to be? Do they think the grocery stores will just carry on like nothing is happening? Are they hoping that their own costs will go down?? That's not how this works...

At least we can say that MAGA delivered on their campaign promises? They literally bragged about how they were going to trash the economy, roll back human rights, abduct thousands of people off the streets, and wreck global trade and alliances. It was in their campaign. None of it had to happen.

When you view all of their (Heritage Foundation, Palantir, Thiel, Vance, Trump, Musk, etc.) actions through the lens of "they DO believe in climate calamity, and want to be the sole survivors" it all makes chilling, horrifying sense.

For decades, right-leaning voters have protested programs like welfare and SNAP because they help the less fortunate. I get that there is some selfishness, bitterness, and racism inherent in this attitude: "I don't want my tax money going to *these* people."

The craziness of the past ~ 3 elections - neither Biden nor Harris never said people couldn't BE racist if they wanted to be. Quite the opposite, they both went out of their way to promise prosperity for *everyone* in the most bipartisan, inclusive way possible. The rising tide lifts all ships!

Saying "this is what they voted for" doesn't fully reflect the darkness of the situation. This is what they've BEEN voting for by voting for the Right. MAGA isn't a difference of type; it's a difference of degree. It's the Right agenda turned from 7-8 all the way to 10.

Tariffs could be a good tool to discourage imports - if you have the industry and infrastructure set up to be competitive. Usually, they cause financial woes - as experienced in something called the Great Depression - when exercised w/out caution or support.
