For sure. I mean, I feel like all WNBA athletes (and the league as a whole) deserve more recognition and publicity. There are so many amazingly talented athletes, but the league so often gets overshadowed by more male-dominated sports.

Yeah I’ve heard a lot of people mentioning it being a first without being more specific. I think the confusion comes from the A’ja statue being at her former university, so it seems related to her college career. Even though it was unveiled after she was a WNBA player.
