As I say, methinks flat rate makes it more a moral than an economic issue. With e.g. 20% you pay $20k on $100k but $200k on $1m
(tax free up to e.g. $50k would make it “progressive” enough).
We The People are all in this together.
John Lennon left UK because it was 99%!!!

I remember my first tax return in 1973 the top tax rate was 66.67 cents in the dollar (not that I earned anywhere near that)

I’m all for flat rate taxation. Make it a moral issue, not an economic issue.
If you want it more “progressive” then have a high tax free threshold

I’m convinced it’s not only possible, but will be the biggest cultural change since the suffragettes.
We need to enculturate modern representative democracy!

How do you scrutinise electronic voting?
How do you scrutinise electronic voting?
1. There is no such thing as a system that cannot be hacked
2. It’s impossible to scrutinise the vote counting.
Pencil & paper forever!

Now you let your backbone slip
Put out your tongue
Put your hand in the air
Make a V-sign
You just don't care
Now you feel free
You gotta lose control
All God's children
Got a little bit of soul
You don't have to think…

That’s not to say there aren’t many people who don’t know who or what Quakers actually do, think or worship.
Including many Quakers!
I pin my hopes to quiet processes and small circles….

I continue to hold high hopes for the two-party democratic processes.
If we are to live in The Age of Reason ipso facto we MUST live in The Age of Dispute. We can have opposing yet valid answers.
