thought experiment: AI hits a major roadblock and becomes impractical for the majority of use cases.

- How does industry pivot?
- How do companies differentiate themselves from the competition?

I know this seems far out but (see comments)...

We ran a randomized controlled trial to see how much AI coding tools speed up experienced open-source developers.

The results surprised us: Developers thought they were 20% faster with AI tools, but they were actually 19% slower when they had access to AI than when they didn't.

1/6: I've been using #ClickUp for a few months now...and like every other #productivity tool I've used over the last number of years it has its pros and cons.

It's got a lot of features but sometimes pretty basic features don't "just work" - and that makes me unhappy. 🙁

1/3 @discord.com the new defaulting to limited time for status is super annoying. I usually want to default as offline and defaulting to a limited time period is driving me crazy.

The UI experience assumes one wants a limited time and unless one checks carefully one often

The projects functionality in #chatgpt shows promise but lacks some basic functionality - e.g. sorting, reordering, nesting.

Is anyone aware of code out there to manage / override the projects UI?

I've some basic #vibecoding but haven't had great success.

when it comes to #psychology and #mentalhealth I've read a decent number of #books on the topic.

I think the best I've read are:

So over two weeks ago #OpenAI was ordered to retain all conversation logs from all users - including API users. 🤯

This is mind-blowing - I can't imagine most corporations are able to use OpenAI at all until this order is rescinded?!

New benchmark just dropped: SnitchBench by Theo Browne tests if LLMs will snitch on you to the authorities if you feed them incriminating documents and a tool that lets them send email, as seen in the Claude 4 System Card

Turns out they pretty much all will! simonwillison.net/2025/May/31/...

This also destroy the research and innovation engine that powers our economy, health, national security, national competitiveness, well-being, and overall future. A dangerous and shameful act.
Nature reports that the National Science Foundation has stopped awarding new grants and allotting funds to existing ones. All of them. @colincarlson.bsky.social says that unless the freeze is lifted, it “is going to destroy people's labs.” 2/10
