In case I made it too cryptic: This is 2-stage config commit similar to IOS-XR coming to IOS-XE.
It is apparently a very new feature - available only since IOS-XE 17.18.1, it does not seem to have a public documentation available yet, and it has a few rough edges.
Nonetheless, very exciting!

I finally opened an accoin here as twitter largely died for me. It became a sterile place without interactions, valuable people, and far too many bots offering subs for a certain blue provider.
