Picked up my copy today in America! Katharina, did Stanley mention anything about the note Dr. Bill gets? In typesetting it's forbidden to have one word alone at the end of a paragraph (called a "widow"). Stanley would have known that, and let two in! Was this intentional to create an odd feeling?

Interesting behind the scenes info. Your books are terrific, by the way!

I can't think of 35 comedies that are better.

Oh, like what did Stephen Hawking do while he was there?

I was wondering what you thought of the new release. Apparently the aspect ratio is correct now, and the DP approved the transfer and coloring. I'm getting it the day it's released.

@kk53.bsky.social you may have noticed Garrett on the set of a movie you both work on...what was it again? Oh yeah, "The Shining." One of my favorite movies, and some of Stanley's strongest images.

Great! Alternate-reality winners are what have become favorites. Growing up in the 70s - me not being old enough to see certain films, gives them a magical quality I remember because great material was out of reach. It was the era of brown, and macrame, as the apt in Goodbye Girl will show.

Instant classic episode. Logan's Run isn't terrific, but I love the Retro Future look. Watch it with the volume down and you'll swear it's great. I think it was Dan Waters who once asked what was it about Jenny Agutter that her nudity was allowed in movies in the 70s?

I never got to meet Wendy (Shelly), but I met Danny, The Twins, and Joe Turkel. Joe praised Stanley, calling him the finest director ever.
And the 4th of July stinks here for fireworks.

That moment is one of the funniest things Knotts has ever done. I play that disc just to go to that spot.

Wow. The museum interiors look like the world of a movie.

I'm glad to see Mad Love getting some attention! The movie is insane. I love it.

Amen. Any synth should be able to make any sound, but people (who are younger than me) don't go beyond presets. I like watching you make synth patches so I can see someone using a feature I missed.
