Picked up my copy today in America! Katharina, did Stanley mention anything about the note Dr. Bill gets? In typesetting it's forbidden to have one word alone at the end of a paragraph (called a "widow"). Stanley would have known that, and let two in! Was this intentional to create an odd feeling?

This ATM at a bank looks like an installation at an art gallery.

Rocky II (1979). Steadicam operator: Philly's own Garrett Brown. Local guy does good. OK, two local guys when you consider Stallone went to high school in Philadelphia.

From 2011: Joe Turkel of The Shining and Blade Runner recreated the "Voight-Kampf Test" scene for me right on the fly.

Harry Houdini, flexing before it was a thing, with bonds he'd offer if he couldn't escape a packing crate thrown into the Charles River.

Here are a few pictures from August 9, 2025 when Terminal played for an hour at Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA. I was on drums and keyboard. Thomas Anthony provided vocals and guitar, Sonia Weimann was on bass. #Music

From 2011 - one of two times I met Joe Turkel. Absolutely one of the coolest people I've ever met. He was an incredible story teller.

Imagine the horror of casting three kids as major parts in your movie. This combo turned out to be magical.

"Silence of the Lambs" became a franchise. Why hasn't the studio ever explored the back story of Buffalo Bill?

I asked Chat GPT to make an image of the person in the song For He's a Jolly Good Fellow. It informed me that there is no physical description of the person in the song. No kidding. After some assumptions and info I provided, it created this.

Rest in peace Douglas McCarthy of Nitzer Ebb. Absolutely one of the strongest singers in the genre. I'm glad to have seen them twice over the years.

May 31 - Happy birthday to Karl Bartos, one of the original members of Kraftwerk. Responsible for cowriting many of their songs, as well as coming up with the "Numbers" beat that changed the world. Hell of a solo artist too!

I enjoy terrible movie poster taglines that don't help the movie at all. I found a gem with this one, "Action has never been this fast." #filmsky

TV shows about computers were different in the 80s. On this episode of Computer Cronicles, a woman uses the C64 to make a pattern for a sweater.

Rest in peace Ruth Buzzi. Her posts on Twitter were so funny that I cried laughing. Example: "I don't always go the extra mile, but when I do it's because I missed my exit." "When one door closes another door opens. Other than that it's a good car." Pic from her account, 2023.
